The Jaguar

Jaguar (Panthera onca)

Pound for pound Jaguars have a more powerful bite than lions or tigers.

Jaguars are the largest of all cats in the New World and may rightly deserve the title: King of the Jungle.

Pound for pound Jaguars have a more powerful bite than lions or tigers, able to bite into a turtles’s shell or crush the cranium of their prey. Jaguars can be found from the southern United States and throughout South America living in a variety of environments from jungle to open plains. Their powerful limbs are adapted to climbing and leaping in the jungle and even swimming. Black Panthers are the same species as Jaguars only with all black fur that still has visible spots that can be seen up close- if you dare.
